Elliott is ONE YEAR OLD!

It's amazing how fast time goes by... Our dear little boy is 1 year old now!  We arranged one last dog-chair photoshoot with a fun twist.  So in this last month, what has Elliott been up to?

-Elliott now walks on his own and does it regularly, pausing occasionally to sit on his butt and scoot around.
-Elliott has learned to hug his stuffed animals, which has been a nice change from his usually slamming them to the ground.
-Elliott also will give us hugs, which is fun!
-Elliott is way more interactive with us and loves to play silly games with us.  He's also become better at listening to us when we tell him to be careful or not to do something.
-He has started to learn what spoons are for ...somewhat, but is getting better at eating and feeding himself.
-He has become better at stacking objects, and has even put Duplo blocks together.
-Elliott understands a lot more communication, and can tell us using sign-language when he wants water, or when he is finished eating.
-He can now growl like a lion, moo like a cow and make seal sounds!  ...though he still hoots like an owl at most things, haha
-Elliott loves looking at the family pictures on our wall, and we'll often hold him, point at each photo and explain who each person is for him.

Ok.. so he still throws his animals to the ground from time to time.

Elliott is holding up the card Katherine's parents gave him.  "Thanks Opa and Omie!"

Elliott's Birthday Party!

So we held a little Birthday Party on the 2nd of March, so we could have some friends over.  Katherine arranged a musical play-date with as many parents/babies that could come.  Using her Kindermusic skills, she arranged some interactive songs.  Elliott loved it!  Sorry, there's no photos of the other people there!  We forgot to snap a pic of the group!

For a cake, Elliott was given a Birthday muffin topped with some whipped cream!  He was more interested in the flame on the candle, until we gave him a spoon!
