CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST UPON US!!!

Oh my hat on earth... Elliott's first Christmas is almost here!

Christmas Tree Hunt!

We loaded-up the fam and went out to a local tree farm to murder us a Christmas Tree!  It was very cold, but we came prepared with warm clothes, a sleigh for Elliott and snow shoes.  Elliott absolutely hated it... all of it... so we chose a tree as fast as we could, cut it, drank some hot chocolate and drove back home.

Devon constructed the sleigh out of old cross-country skis and scrap wood last year.  It works pretty good, but Elliott hates it.

Because Elliott hated the sleigh so much, we decided to try using it for hauling our tree.

Elliott is 9 Months Old!

Our little boy is 9 months old now!  What can he do at 9 months?  He now knows how to climb up stuff (including a full set of stairs!) and stand himself upright, he has started to copy our sounds and gestures, like clapping and saying "Dada" and "Mama," he's started to throw tantrums and also has learned to bite things with his 4 teeth.  Over this past month, he has become more patient and cuddly, and seems to be more content when we hold him and sit him on our lap.  It's quite adorable!

Elliott also moves really fast now, and it's harder to get him to sit still for pictures!

Elliott has also become aware of heights and no longer tries to crawl off the edge of our bed.  He also puts his hands out when going down things.  Just after snapping the photos on the chair, he was looking for a way down.  With a little help, he was happily standing against the chair!

Elliott's 8 Months Old!

Elliott is 8 months old now!

He is growing ever more curious and determined to explore the world around him.  He does not give up easily, whether it's something we've moved away from his reach, or somewhere it's not safe for him to crawl... he'll make many, many attempts at whatever he wants to do. 
He's a very happy little guy, who is quite content in most circumstances.  While he doesn't laugh all that much, he smiles a lot and loves to flail his hands with joy.  Lately we've been teaching him to wave hello!

Every so often, Katherine will take Elliott onto her lap so he can play the piano keys.  He sometimes hits them softly with a single finger and other times me mashes the keys with his fist.  Either way, it's adorable.

Elliott's 7 Months Old!

At 7 Months, Elliott has two teeth now!!  They are located on the bottom jaw right in the front... two crazy sharp little teeth!  Elliott has been busy flailing with joy and making silly sounds with his mouth like, "Bah bah bah bah... dah dah dah dah.." and his favourite: Fart sounds.

While it used to be easy to pose him on the chair, he's started moving a lot more, and is especially fond of grabbing the poor stuffed dog and flailing him around.
