The Bear Rug!

As babies, we all had our photos taken laying naked on Dad's bear rug, from the bear he shot at camp Alexo.  A strange tradition, yes... but we've happily kept it going with the next generation of babies.

Alberta Trip! Part 12: Grandma's 92nd Birthday

In the company of our extended family, we celebrated Grandma Wadman's 92nd Birthday.  Before the festivities, we had our friend Kim take a few group photos of the Opden Dries family all together.

Alberta Trip! Part 11: Mountain Adventures!

With the family loaded-up in two vehicles, we headed off through David Thompson Country to visit the beautiful Crescent Falls and Abraham Lake.  We bought doughnuts and brought food for a picnic and were lucky enough to dodge the rain that passed through!

Erika and Devon climbed down to the bottom of the first falls with Felix so we could get some cute shots of Felix!

We then travelled to Abraham Lake to hang out on its beautiful shore.

Alberta Trip! Part 10: Crimson Lake!

Mom and Dad took the boat out to Crimson Lake, near Rocky, so we could enjoy some fun on the water.  The weather was mild, but storms were a-brew'n.  We arrived just in time for some quick fun, but had to leave after about 2 hours or so, because of a nasty storm coming.

Alberta Trip! Part 8: Back in Rocky!

We travelled back to Rocky, to stay with Devon's Mom and Dad, and visit with Daniel and Faye, who travelled from Victoria.  Dan and Faye, with their kids Leif and Anouk, stayed about a week, and we had a lot of fun with them!

During our vacation, Elliott began learning the finer points to operating the Jolly Jumper.  Now he absolutely loves it!

Alberta Trip! Part 7: Back in Leduc!

We travelled back to Leduc, after a short overnight trip to Rocky.  We spent the night with Katherine's Parents, so we could celebrate Dad's retirement, and with Ty and Deanna travelling down from Ft. Mac, and Steve flying in from Saint John, we were all united!  The days we had together were brief, but a lot of fun.

Elliott learned that his feet are one of his new favourite toys, as he grabs them and rolls about.
